Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using The Desi Events ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Platform. We may update these Terms from time to time, and your continued use constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Accounts

You do not need an account to buy tickets — guest checkout asks only for an email address, which is how your tickets are found again later. An account is required to create or manage events, and is optional for buyers who want their tickets kept in one place.

If you do register, you agree to provide accurate, current and complete information, and you are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity under your account.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Users between 13-17 may use the platform with parental/guardian consent.

3. Ticket Purchases

3.1 Pricing

All ticket prices are displayed in the applicable currency. A service fee of 3.5% + $0.99 per order is added at checkout. The total price including all fees is shown before you confirm your purchase.

3.2 Order Confirmation

A purchase is confirmed only when you receive an order confirmation email with your ticket(s). Pending orders expire after 15 minutes if payment is not completed.

3.3 Ticket Limits

Events may impose per-person ticket limits. Attempts to circumvent these limits (including using multiple accounts) may result in order cancellation and account suspension.

4. Refunds & Cancellations

Refund policies are set by individual event organizers and displayed on each event page. When an event is cancelled, ticket holders are entitled to a full refund. For most events this is issued automatically to the original payment method within 5-10 business days. Where an organizer has chosen to handle cancellation refunds themselves, the order is cancelled immediately and the organizer is responsible for returning the money; contact us if it has not arrived within 10 business days.

5. Resale & Transfer

Tickets may be transferred to other registered users free of charge. Tickets listed on the Resale Marketplace may not be priced above face value. The Platform reserves the right to remove listings that violate this policy.

6. Event Organizers

Organizers are responsible for the accuracy of event information, fulfillment of the event as described, and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The Platform is a marketplace and does not organize or guarantee events.

Organizer payouts are processed via Stripe Connect. The Platform deducts applicable service fees before payout. Organizers are responsible for their own tax obligations.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to purchase tickets
• Resell tickets above face value outside the Platform
• Create fake events or misleading listings
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Circumvent security measures or access restrictions

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform (design, logos, text, code) is owned by The Desi Events or its licensors. Event content is owned by the respective organizers. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for event cancellations, venue changes, or any actions of event organizers. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific ticket(s) in question.

10. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You agree to waive any right to a jury trial or class action.
